Eastwood Carnival Preparation
2008
An artist visited
the school on 20th May 2008 to help the children
create costumes for the Eastwood Carnival 2008.
Artist Sarah
is based in Nottingham and works for herself.
She started into theatrical design but enjoyed
working with children to create different designs.
The infant children
were making flowers out of coloured tissue to
decorate a hat. They will look colourful.
The junior children
were making a robot/alien helmet out of cardboard
with some amazing designs being shown.
All the children
were also helping to make a big sun out of cane
and (very) sticky paper. It was so big we didn't
know if it would go out the door! It did go through
with a little squishing!
Sarah was returning
in June to finish the outfits the children will
wear for the Eastwood Carnival 2008.
The first block
of images were taken June 17th when preparations
were more advanced.
