School Aims

School building

Welcome to the Brookhill Leys Primary School web-site.

We are a large Primary school with approximately 340 children on roll. Children begin their education part-time in our Foundation Stage Unit when they are 3 years old.

They become full-time in the unit before they are 5 years old and then progress through the Primary School until they leave for Secondary Education at 11 years old.

Our school was formed in January 2006 when Brookhill Leys Infant and Junior Schools amalgamated. We have spacious buildings and a very large site that includes playgrounds, grassed areas and a huge playing field that gives many opportunities for sporting activities.

The classrooms and buildings are well maintained and resourced and every classroom has an interactive whiteboard and computers.

In addition to the usual classrooms we also have an ICT suite, two halls, a library, an art room, a parents’ room, an informal room for breakfast club and our own kitchen.

Parents are very welcome in school and there is an active parents group that regularly raises funds for school.

All our children are special to us and we want them to do their very best whilst they are at this school. We expect them to work hard and to behave well but we also want them to feel safe, valued and happy at school.

Our recent Ofsted report (July 2007) confirms that we do this well. I hope this web-site gives you a flavour of what Brookhill Leys has to offer you and your child.

You are most welcome to visit just contact the office so that I can make sure I am available to show you round.

Kind regards

Denise Helliwell

School Profile

As a school the governors are required to inform parents about the work of the school over the last academic year.  Previously, this report has been given to you as a paper copy but this year it is available on the following website.

www.schoolsfinder.direct.gov.uk

Type in ‘Brookhill Leys Primary’ and click FIND. (Click here)   This will bring up the schools profile.

If you would like a paper copy these are available from the school office.
