Welcome to Brookhill Leys Primary
and Nursery School.
“Our school is full of happy children and
teachers with smiles. We get to say what we want
to learn. We want a streetdance club and more science
experiments and Mrs Sainsbury is sorting this out.
We have family days where we get to help the little
children and mix up the classes. Our Big Writing
is really helping us improve our writing and use
our `posh` voices!” – Group of
Year 5 children December 2009
Children join us when they reach the age of 3
and stay with us until they are 11. We have around
340 children in school and are very proud of every
one of them. All our children are special to us
and we want them to do their very best at this
school. We expect them to work hard and to behave
well and also want them to feel safe, valued and
happy.
Our School Community is one of support, happiness
and TEAM work and we welcome parents and carers
into school to join us on our learning journey.
We have a vast amount of space in school and are
situated in beautiful grounds, attracting many
birds and wildlife. Our spacious site allows for
wonderful learning experiences including creative
arts and environmental lessons and studies. We
have projects planned to create more outdoor and
creative learning projects, including links with
the local and international community.
Our classes are named after British Wildlife
and you will find information about each class,
and the school, when looking around this site.
You can also access our latest OFSTED, school policies,
news letters and other correspondence. Our web
site is regularly updated with school images and
information to help you. You will also find forms
to print off and complete for the school office,
such as change of contact details or absence requests.
We are currently relaunching a parents support
group to organise fund raising activities for school
and also have parents forums for things such as
antibullying.
I hope this web-site gives you a flavour of what
Brookhill Leys has to offer you and your child.
You are most welcome to visit, just contact the
office so that we can make sure a member of the
TEAM is available to show you round. Come in and
meet us!
Your comments are always welcome, either by email
or through our parents comments box in main reception.
